Hi, I'm John Dennison, and I'd like to welcome you to PeaceOptions.
PeaceOptions is a place where we challenge the things that steal our peace -- not only in our outer affairs, but inside us as well.
Traveling the path of peace isn't easy. The ways of will and desire run deep, and there are always others ready to impose theirs upon us, or who conduct their affairs in ways that do us harm.
Certainly my writing here touches on how to engage those individuals and work with and within the energies of control and conflict.
But the biggest place we must learn to work is within ourselves -- to deal with the things in us that keep us in conflict by knowing ourselves and what our lives are about, and then reflecting it in how we go about our lives. For only then will we truly root out the seeds of conflict and learn to live with more peace and ease, no matter what else is going on out there.
Therefore I will do my best to help you:
- know yourself and what you're all about to reduce your discontent and get more out of the life you're already living;
- exercise your power of choice in ways that grow youre peace rather than render you more susceptible to conflict or harm;
- make your stand against the things that would steal your peace while creating a space in which it can take hold and grow;
- challenge the beliefs and practices that perpetuate our culture of conflict; and
- find your peace, and know the way through life carved for you in which you can best live it.
If you are seeking peace and don't know how to find it, or can't get relief from a world that's stealing it, I pray that in some small way our efforts can help you, too.
